Did you know that October 24th is Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) Day? I had fun writing the details about how a reporter’s acute appendicitis in 1971 helped bring awareness of the benefits of acupuncture to North America, not long before China re-opened its doors to the Western world.
