How Does My Body Work?
Thyroid
Your thyroid is a vital regulatory gland that controls your metabolism. If it’s not pumping out enough of its hormones, you suffer from hypothyroidism, resulting in weight gain, fatigue, feeling cold, sore joints, and depression. If it’s pumping out too much of its hormones, you suffer from hyperthyroidism, resulting in weight loss, feeling agitated, overheating, sweating, and anxiety. Food
What happens when you eat sugar? How is eating too much sugar too often more like doing drugs than eating a healthy balanced meal? Find out by clicking on my TedEd lesson here (if you want to do the quiz or join in the discussion) or simply watch the video below. You can also go further on learning about the different kinds of sugars and how they affect you (and earn continuing education credits) by clicking here.
